Principal's Message

Welcome to the Sanger Community Day School’s (CDS) website. CDS aspires to preparing students for college or career readiness. We offer various courses that help students successfully receive original credit and recover credits as students transition back to a comprehensive school setting in Sanger Unified.

CDS strives to fulfill our school mission of “preparing students to earn their high school diploma, set goals and achieve their goals beyond graduation.” In doing so, our staff is constantly improving academic and behavioral strategies to help students succeed. We are a Gold Award Recognition School in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports for the 2016-2017 school year. CDS is also an accredited school via the Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC). We continue to create a culture that gets students connected to studies, create school-peer climate, work alongside caring-adults, and believe in their own success stories.

All students at CDS are equipped with an IPad to assist in the journey of new learning. We will be taking our 5th CAASPP test in English Language Arts and Mathematics this upcoming school year. Science teachers are in the process of transitioning to Next Gen Science Standards; thus, they are constantly researching best practices. Our Social Studies teacher utilizing Online School Sources, as well as technology tools that strengthen students’ abilities to annotate as they read. We are implementing Universal Design for Learning strategies to engage students in learning. Our teachers are consistently researching and collaborating to find new ways to engage students in learning and monitor student’s achievement. Every student and staff member believes in our motto: “We can, We will!” Our students see challenges as an opportunity to succeed and proceed to the next. I cannot be any prouder for these young ladies and gentlemen as they continue on their academic journey.

These are exciting times ahead for our staff and students. Together we can continue to ‘Dream Big, Work Hard and Believe; Every Child, Every Day, Whatever it Takes!
