Community Day School cares about your child's development and progress towards 8th grade promotion and high school graduation. Therefore, it is important that students attend school everyday and ontime. If students are not here, students are not learning. Please make time to discuss with your child the importance of arriving on school on time and daily. Therefore, CDS has implemented a new Tardy Policy in regards to making sure your student arrives on time with effort:
1-15 minutes late = 15 minutes After school Detention (A/S)
15 + minutes late = 15+ A/S Detention (17 mins late = 17 mins. after school)
On student's 5th tardy, they will owe time after school and assigned lunch detention as well.
On 6th tardy, they will be assigned community service hours, disciplined through CDS productive steps leading to progressive consequences, and/or SARB process will continue to progress as well.
